If both remain silent, the task is very difficult. The moment they speak, it’s pretty obvious. Well that’s from speech. What about behavior? Well, the genius tends to learn from mistakes and NOT repeat them. The stupid, however, not only repeats his mistakes but tends to make bigger ones.

Would it take a genius to tell you what RM 5 billion can do to improve the general quality of life of Malaysians? Would it take a genius to figure out that that sum can go a long way in alleviating loads of the ills in our basic infrastructure? Public transport comes to mind, education comes to mind, medical facilities come to mind. A host of other important things should come to mind. Heck, even the bloody petrol prices could be brought down.

But no!! Not in Malaysia apparently!!

It takes too much of brain cells to think these things out. So, let’s just blow the RM5Billion on putting up a VERY tall building instead. A building that doesn’t serve any normal Malaysian’s interest in any way, a building that’s only gonna increase the traffic congestion in that already overly congested area and the pockets of some very connected people.

Let’s do that!! Yay!! Let's rob from the poor and give to the rich.

Then some old geezer pipes in with their 2cents worth that spending money is the best way for the economy to grow. Yes, let’s spend money. On the basic necessities for every citizen. On basics that will benefit the people. Not on some mumbo jumbo-project that is gonna strain and drain our (read ordinary citizens’) pockets for the next three generations.

You don’t need a genius telling you these things. This is common sense. No need for delusions of grandeur when you can’t afford it.

Oh, and speaking of ‘delusions of grandeur when you can’t afford it’ brings to mind something similar, happening closer to home…...

It’s a god awful shame that there are certain quarters who believe in style above substance. If you’re a bad singer, it can be excused. But if you’re a doctor then you’d jolly well have more substance than just style. If style is all you’re looking for, then that’s when the delusions of grandeur come in.

For example, if you need to borrow money to get married, why don’t you put off your wedding for a bit? Until you have enough, maybe? Unless of course there’s pregnancy involved and the guy wants to be a man and do the right thing.

Or if you wanna have your wedding in the Palace of the Golden Horses, but find that it is way out of your league in terms of cold hard cash, just find another cheaper alternative. Even if you have to get married in your own home, do so. Or do you go borrow money just so that you can have your wedding at the POGH? Delusions of grandeur, no?

Could it be that because your wedding is the first in the family, so it must be a posh affair at the most expensive venue? Why? Wouldn’t the guests see the same couple getting married even if the wedding was held at some hut or at your own home?
Well anyway, it’s too late to wonder about the genius or stupidity behind holding a wedding way beyond your ability and capability. The cards have been printed, the guests have confirmed, the band’s been hired, the caterer’s been informed, the money’s been borrowed, the show must go on.

Who cares if the whole thing is an exercise in stupidity? Stupidity needs exercise so that it can grow to its limitless potential.

It’s genius that has a limit, remember?

Si Mata Sepet? Every other day, there is some things that are said or done or quoted, that stinks of racism.

This generalisation that all Chinese are sepet (is that even true?) and all Indians are drunks is stupid. It shows the shallow nature of people. It shows desperation.

So what if my friend has got slightly narrow eyes? As long as he can see the big picture. So what if my friend likes to indulge in drinking? As long as he's not bugging me to buy him his drinks. The eyes are a physical trait. The drinking is a habit.

If you need to refer to this kind of name calling to "stand tall" then you're going to remain very short (and short-sighted) for a very very very long time.

Awakening Malaysia Requires Integrity & Trust, Awakening Malaysia Requires Intelligence & Talent

It has become a sad fact of Malaysian life that the malaise affecting this country cannot and will not be eradicated with a clean sweep of the broom. For starters, the bloody broom is not functioning properly. Then we have the fact that corruption and the corrupted way of life has seeped itself too deeply into the very grain and fabric of our society that it may take 2 or 3 generations to cleanse this land. That too, can only happen if the corrective measures are started today.

To start today requires loads of intelligence, integrity, trust and talent. Don’t we have this? Don’t we have men and women, boys and girls who want to achieve? Achieve on merit, that is. Boys and girls who are willing to put aside physical pain and perceived prejudice to challenge themselves to improve? We have truck loads of them. Men and women who won’t buckle under pressure and give in to find the easy way out?

We have star loads of them.

They’re all around us actually. I know of them personally. In fact I know of one such person very well.

We met late, this person and I. We were probably not supposed to meet, or were we? We’ll never know will we? Anyway this person walks into my life late and nonchalantly and has been attached to me since.

There wasn’t any dramatics about being late, just apologies and outright honesty. The actual details about the truth surfaced much later and perfectly corroborated what was said. How we yearn for this level of honesty in people who claim to be upright and integrous yet lead us with packs of lies.

If sickness was a wealth, then my friend would be a charitable person who wants to give it all away. It is crippling at times, and these are the mild times. It is a stumbling block to duty. Yet the grit and determination shown in overcoming this mind numbing pain is awe inspiring at worst.

You’d want to see this kind of grit in those elected to lead us; putting aside personal pain for the greater good of duty.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it is often said. But how often does one come across someone whom every beholder beholds beauty? Well from my experiences in Malaysia, pretty much none actually. When someone is described as a beautiful person, there’s another somewhere who’s ready to pounce and denounce. And I’m referring to physical beauty here. Call me shallow.

But when one is beautiful on the inside, and then that beauty is transferred to the outside, there can be no debate as to the actual beauty of the person. This kind of person inspires every beholder to behold beauty. And I’m glad to be among one of the beholders privileged to see this in my life.

Spontaneity creates excitement, doesn’t it? Well being surprised in your own workyard pleasantly was one major spontaneous act which still holds a dear place in my heart. I don’t know what inspired it, what triggered it, but it was something just, well, spontaneous and exciting. Which is something you can never say, in a positive vein, about the leadership of this nation, can you? They’re so predictable that even people with half a brain can guess and surmise what they’ll think and say and do way before they actually do or say anything.

What is it that makes my acquaintance a perfect role model for what can be right with this country? You’ll have to make the acquaintance to find out. From what I can see, we need more people in this country with the outlook my friend has. Add to this a love for the nation and a desire to see this nation change for the better, and you’ll have the kind of people that can move mountains. What more this nation?

There’s a change in direction every now and then that either brings good or bad with it. Or it can bring both good and bad. Sometimes they feel like two steps forward and one step back, at other times it’s like one step forward and two back. But it’s the steps forward that count and bring the most joy isn’t it? So in order to feel the exuberance of that forward step, we endure the steps backward. We build on them. We make sure that forward steps are worth more than the steps back, no matter how many back steps come. This is as true for the nation as it is for friendships or relationships of any kind.

This change in direction can blow with or without fierce gales and storm winds. The ones that are with fierce storm winds can be frightening to say the least.

Friendships, relationships and nations are tested when there are doubts. Doubts can be major stumbling blocks for any relationship. God, when they appear, especially in forms that are hard to dispute and especially when they are in forms that you do not know of. You know what I mean. Then you ask yourself if you wanna give up the fight. You tell yourself no. That’s when you want to stand your ground.

Dispelling doubts amid cynicism and sarcasm is no small feat. But when you love, u want to believe you can conquer it all. No?

Well let me assure you that it can be done, has been done and will continue to be done as long as creating confidence and dispelling doubts is required. Just throw some love into the mix. It’s powerful.

Third party interferences pose a headache whenever there’s imminent progress. What could be considered normal for some people, can be considered abnormal for others. When I said ‘nope’, it was because I thought it was a ‘nope’. Yet it seems that in the ‘nope’ the seeds of doubt get take root yet again.

Fuck me!!

Having sex. Making love. Fucking. Doing the dirty. However you may call it, however many times you've done it or not done it. However many styles or positions you may or may not know. Whatever your outlook on it is, your theological perspective, your social view, whatever the fuck la. To do it still takes TWO fucking people. Whether it is illicit or licit or illegal or illegal. You still need TWO fucking people to have sex. Period.

Any fucker, even those with only half a fucking brain, would be able to tell you this. If 1 person is doing it, it is called masturbation, not having sex. Whether male or female, masturbation is NOT the same as having sex. You CANNOT have sex when there is ONLY 1 person involved. Whether it is legal sex or illegal sex or licit sex or illicit sex, you cannot do it without another person to do it with.

So tell me please, since the above facts have been established, how the fuck can you punish a woman alone, for having illicit sex? Who the fuck was she doing the dirty with? Herself? Then charge her for masturbation la, not illicit sex. If you insist on punishing her for having illicit sex, then charge the other person involved as well. It's pretty obvious that when she was caught with her knickers down, there'd have been at least 1 other person (a guy most likely) in the room with his boxers or briefs down as well.

So what is his contribution to this crime of illicit sex? Why isn't he being punished as well, since he is a part of the act of having sex, illicit or illegal or whatever the fuck.

And to quote our "honourable home minister", it is done as part of "executing our responsibility". Really? Then why the delay in "executing your responsibility" with Kartika? It is so fucking clear what has happened here that it is fucking pathetic to listen to people, ministers no less, trying to fucking justify it.

In case my two (oh sorry, it's three now) readers still can't grasp what the minister is asking you to read between the lines as he's holding three fingers up to you, he wants you to know that he has played his trump card to get his sorry government out of the Kartika predicament. If you recall, the problem was caused by the over eager government controlled judiciary to prove their over-religiousness.

This backfired when they got caught -not literally with their pants down though- by moderate folks who questioned the rationales for the caning, the expertise required for it and the potential loss of image to this progressive moderate modern nation. So they begged her to appeal, thinking that they could have squeezed their sorry asses out of the predicament, granted her the appeal, and not caned her. The spanner in this plan was when Kartika refused to appeal.

So "honorable" minister, just for your information, we can see through this backdoor ploy of yours. Quietly cane three chics for having sex, and proclaim loudly and proudly that Kartika is a non-issue as we have been already implementing caning. You're so predictable!! And pathetic!!

And speaking of backdoors, which i think is the only thing your rotten government is good for, your "Backdoor Drama" involving Saiful's unlocked backdoor has gotten from bad to worse, hasn't it?

What kind of court proceeds with a sodomy trial when there's been no sodomy (since sodomy is loosely defined as anal penetration & the doctor's report clearly says there's been no penetration) ?

But, let's save that for another day shall we? Let's get back to the issue at hand, which is the caning of the three women for allegedly having illicit sex.

Please get the three men who they had illicit sex with and duly charge them too if you're fucking serious about this "protecting the sanctity of the religion" bullshit. Otherwise just shut the fuck up and leave whoever wants to fuck whomever, wherever, whenever, alone. Cos it definitely is the responsibility of both males AND females to protect the sanctity of any religion.

Get it?

Dark Night Rising?

April 3rd 2009. Remember the date.

Straw clutching, jaw clenching, palms upward in prayer and all other physical mannerisms that were symbolic of HOPE for the last couple of months have evaporated. Malaysians from all walks of life have breathed a collective sigh of resignation.

"It's over", "Gone la", "We're screwed/fucked" "From the frying pan into the fire" (thanks Suppy) are being heard all over the country today.

Black shirts, blouses, skirts and pants are the order of the day.

You'd think we're a nation in mourning for the loss of a great mahatma-esque leader. BUT we're not. We're actually 'celebrating' the inauguration of a brand new Prime Minister.

What's so negatively depressing about this? I'm too drained to repeat the whole story, but suffice to say, today our generation has witnessed first-hand a sad state of affairs. A state of affairs where the bad and evil and corrupt get rewarded.

Let me take a breather to collect my thoughts.....

Long Layoff

My humble and sincere apologies to my two loyal readers.

I haven't posted much here for more than a couple of months now. Wasn't writer's block. Neither was it for lack of anything to write about. Couldn't quite put my finger on why, until yesterday when I was speaking to a friend. Then it hit me.

I mostly write about the stupid and utterly ridiculous things happening here in Malaysia, right? So there should have been multiple postings daily, right? Well my friend and I discovered that therein lay the problem; over the last few months, the number of stupidities spewed and done by our "leaders" were happening faster and with more frequency than I could write about.

If I can post one blog a day, they come up with three dumbass actions in a day. If I can do two, they do five. When I push myself to post three times a day, they they come up with ten, and with relative ease at that. It's like as if "dumbass" is as natural as breathing for these jokers. So every time they open their mouths to breathe, they spew stupidity.

Okay, enough of me speaking like a Malaysian politician - my other reason for not posting as often as I would have liked is related to "hours". I'll probably talk about that some other time. Promise!!

Mail your MP

Amongst all the hue and cry over the detention and incarceration of Raja Petra Kamarudin, and the other ISA detainees, most of us seem to be trying too hard to think of what we can do to solve the issue. In itself, these attempts by us need applause. Yes, we’re all outraged at yet another travesty of justice by our BN boys. In our anger, outrage and frustration, we seem to be tying ourselves in knots thinking up the perfect response.

But maybe a slight pause will give us a simpler perspective.

What are we fighting for? Petra? Hindraf 5? It shouldn’t be. We should be fighting tooth and nail for that dastardly Act to be completely abolished instead of for individuals. Only then can we make sure that in future no more Petras or Theresas or anyone for that matter will be put away without a chance to defend themselves.

Instead of coming up with all sorts of outlandish plans, can we try something simpler? Why not put pressure on your MP? Email him or her constantly. Harass her or him relentlessly. Let him or her know that you, one of his or her constituents, has got an issue and you would want him or her to bring it up. Bring it up where it matters; in parliament.

If you’re not sure how to go about contacting your MP, kindly clink on the link below or cut and paste the link below into your browser.

http://www.parlimen.gov.my/eng-DewRakyat_AhliDewan_2.php

Once you've gotten your MP's attention. let them know in no uncertain terms that they had better bring up your concerns to Parliament. The result of not doing so would be disastrous to them.
Another suggestion I would like to make (but this one’s more directly linked to Petra) is for the Muslim leaders to come out truthfully and acknowledge that the articles that Petra wrote has got none of the elements the authorities are accusing them of having. Come out and say that on the contrary, the articles highlighted the beauty of Islam. This is what Petra was doing. We need the religious big shots – hey Nik Aziz, where are you la? – to come out and say that there’s nothing wrong with the articles and that Islam is NOT insulted in any way and that Syed Hamid and the police don’t know what the hell they’re talking about.

ISA…..WTF?

So this is the strategy or gameplan for the endgame huh? Get everyone who opposes them, dump them in Kamunting and go on patting themselves on the back that everybody in the country is happy with them. WTF!!!

Well it is a hugely dangerous endgame these boys from barisan have decided to start. It’s not only dangerous for them, but can have dangerous repercussions and ramifications for the country as well. You see, some of us can see right through their freaking lies and double speak as easily as we can see through mosquito netting.

The endgame strategy being played out is simple. It is to antagonise the Chinese. Stir them. Raise up their “hungry ghosts”. Make the Chinese lose it. Once they’ve lost it and take to the streets, the wizened old sages masquerading as the leaders of this country will declare a nationwide emergency to “protect the wishes – and safety - of the majority”.

Hey, psst…. Syed Albar, you really think we’re dickheads like you and your ilk ah? PTUI!!! Podah!! Let me tell you a secret. This is not 1969. It’s 2008. If you and your Barisan buddies could get your heads out of Saiful’s ass for a couple of minutes, you’ll probably realize that.

Okay, before anyone starts accusing me of jumping the gun here, let me explain. But before I explain, you explain to me the REAL purpose behind the ISA arrest of Teresa Kok and especially Tan Hoon Cheng. Tell me the REAL purpose for the show cause letters to Sin Chew and theSun. WTF??

Yeah, WTF….what did Tan Hoon Cheng do? Her freaking job! Just imagine you’re a postman delivering mail to hundreds of households who depend on you for their mail. You deliver this one envelope that has Urusan Seri Paduka Baginda printed proudly on it and the cops come and bust you for that and dump you in freaking Kamunting. I’m sure that’d make your day wouldn’t it? Well, that’s exactly what Tan was doing. Her bloody job. She’s a reporter. She reports. She’s not a producer or director to produce or direct. What she saw, she reported. Full stop. Nothing less or nothing more.

What really irks is that the bloke who created, produced and directed the story gets off literally scot-free, but the one who reports it get tucked away in some god forsaken place. WTF??

And what about theSun? What sensitive issues did they manipulate and highlight? Samy Vellu’s fucking of the Indians who he was supposed to take care of? Khir Toyo’s raping of playing fields and fondling of any piece of land that caught his eye? WTF is wrong with highlighting these issues?

See what I’m getting at? Our highly intelligent leaders have decided that the best or only recourse available to them is to re-use a trick that succeeded way back in 1969. Create the problem, suggest the solution and become the savior. Sound familiar? Despots the world over and throughout history have used this method to keep themselves in power or to strengthen their grip on power. From their myopic viewpoint which is probably partially blocked by Saiful’s rectum, they fail to see that this ploy only works with uninformed or disinterested citizenry. Unfortunately for the despots in Malaysia, WE MALAYSIANS have awakened. We are very interested and we are very very informed. We have opened our eyes and have seen these power crazy bastards for what they really are - selfish pariahs who’ll sell their own mothers to a pimp if it gets to keep them in power.

And if they’re hoping to get a reaction from the Chinese, or the Indians or Malays for that matter, this will be it. We will stand before you hand in hand and shoulder to shoulder not as Malays, Chinese or Indians but as Malaysians and we’ll fight you until there’s none of us left standing. If you want to attack the Chinese, you’ll have to get through us Indians and Malays first. If you want to attack the Indians, you’ll have to get through us Malays and Chinese first. If you want to attack the Malays, you’ll have to get through us Chinese and Indians first. Get the message?

Let me conclude by repeating what Raja Petra said to those who still want to play the racial game in Malaysia; YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

If you choose to ignore the warning and continue doing what you’re doing, and something happens to you, please don’t say WTF!!

The truth, the whole truth & nothing but the truth

It’s a long established practice in courts all over the world to place your left hand on a holy book – in most places, the bible – and swear that you are telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God. Apparently doing this automatically makes you immediately lose all pretensions and speak only the truth, whole truth and nothing but the truth. Bullshit!!

Hardcore criminals will place their hands on any book – Bible, Quran, Bhagavad Gita – and say whatever bullshit they need to say just to get their ass off scot-free. Jack The Ripper’s not going to admit killing all those he killed just because his hands are on some holy book, if he’s got some means of escaping punishment. The only dudes who actually brag about their kills are those who know they’ve got no chance of escaping punishment or the really psychotic sickos.

Now if you not a really psychotic sicko or whatever you’ve done is still open to debate, I’ll bet my bottom dollar that you will also place your hand on any holy book I put in front of you and declare your innocence. You will swear on your God. You will swear on your mother’s grave or your kid’s head. You will swear on your stained underwear if you have to. The simple reason for this is there’s no one to challenge you on what you’re swearing. Your God is not going to. Your dead mother can’t, her grave can’t speak.

Okay, swearing on one’s holy book is all about post-mortem retribution, you say. Who gives a rat’s ass about how your god retributes you after you’re dead and gone. It’s while you’re here is when you’ve caused the damage. That damage could ruin generations. Is your god going to retribute you or your entire generation?

So by swearing on the Quran, has Saiful convinced me that he is telling the truth about being sodomised? Not a chance in hell. The only thing he has successfully done is proven to me how lightly he takes his religion and his belief.

***************************************************

The outpouring of sympathy, empathy and support Saiful received upon his swearing ceremony was in itself worthy of an Olympic athlete. If only more Malaysians would support our sports and sportsmen and women like this, I’m sure Malaysia can produce our own Phelps and Lin Dans in the mould of Datuk Nicol. But that’s beside the point.

There was this little cicakman who, in his eagerness for Anwar to take up the Quran, said that settling this the legal way was not good enough. Wow! Imagine that. Using the legal route is not the best way to get justice, fairness and equality it seems. All you need is a holy book.
Holy cow! All the printing presses better get prepared for the avalanche of holy book orders soon.

Then there was the PM. He’s like this guy who’s learnt something new and thinks no one else knows it so he wants to show it off. The only problem with that plan is that most folks heard about reverse psychology while he was having one of those snoozes he’s now famous for. He goes around making speeches and in the course of these speeches, inserts quotes like, “it’s up to Anwar whether he wants to swear” and “Saiful’s got nothing to do with PP by-election”. Wow!!

Golden Silence

Silence is Golden. Really? What the heck does that mean? Sometimes silence can speak volumes more than even the most vocal or vociferous voice. So is silence good or bad? You have the bible that advises that a non-reply, ie. silence, can calm down an angry man. Then you have an old saying in Tamil which, when translated, means silence equates to agreement. So what the bloody heck is silence anyway? Is it the absence of sound? Or is sound the absence of silence?

Does silence mean you’ve got nothing to say or you don’t know what to say? Or does it mean you have something to say but would rather not waste your time and energy saying it? Or does silence carry a different meaning in different scenarios? What the bloody freaking hell does silence mean?

Forgive my preoccupation with silence but there’s a whole load of it happening around that’s causing me to wonder “what the f#*k is going on here? “.

A teacher in a government school verbally abuses a bunch of students by calling them and their ancestors all kinds of derogatory names. Yeah, a bunch of angry parents gathered and made some noise and protested. They were definitely not silent. But the response from the people in power has been deafeningly silent, don’t you think? I’ve definitely missed their voices. Voices that are normally blabbering incessantly about one thing or the other under the sky have suddenly become conspicuously silent.

Heck, latest on the grapevine is that the said teacher has been silently transferred to a supposedly better school, nearer to her home and whatnot. Was she given an increment or pay rise for indirectly promoting ketuanan “of-a-certain-race”? Who knows? What I know is that in her letter of transfer, the reason given had no inkling of any disciplinary action. Everything is so silent.

In another incident, a bunch of screaming, foaming at the mouth folks violently disrupted a scholarly gathering of people seeking to find a solution to a pressing national issue. And holy mackaroli, would you believe it, the violent protestors were actually escorted into the building (yes, the gathering was held INSIDE a private building) by the police? Yup, the same police who sprayed water cannons and tear gas at a previous group of protestors. I guess it all depends on who’s protesting, isn’t it?

Anyway, apart from our future PM wannabe, Najib, there’s been an absolute and total silence from all other leaders regarding this incident. Actually, come to think of it, even Najib should have just shut the fuck up instead of breaking his silence and further confirming his stupidity. His comment tried to shift the blame for the entire fiasco onto the organizers.
The only voices that could be heard in the aftermath of this were from the ordinary folk. Loads of us were critical of the storming invasion and violence and language used by the protestors. Dozens of NGO’s and other significant individuals are making statements. However, there was not a word of condemnation or otherwise from any leader, government or opposition. A very elegant silence is being maintained, but is that what is required at this point? What’s your stand on this, Mr Prime Minister Badawi? What’s your stand on this, de facto opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim?

The most recent news in theSun today is of a 10 year old boy being tortured Nazi style by our boys in blue. What the fuck? Aren’t our cops who are supposed to be protecting and upholding the law, aware of the law? Don’t they know what to do when investigating juveniles? Well, that’s beside the point of this post. Will there be a golden silence on this issue as well by those in charge? Or will heads roll?

Looking and judging by past and present happenings, I won’t be really looking forward to any noise about this. I would just settle for someone telling me which category of silence this silence will fall into.

Damn Funny Wei....

Came across this article written by Dr Farish Noor and published around the blogs. I think it's an excellent piece of writing which uses humor to pin prick the shallowness of the incident that preceded it.

Read it, laugh til your stomach hurts, then read between the lines for the not-so-hidden message. If you've got even a streak of bigotry in you - racial, religious, or whatever other form - then it's possible the message might just whizz over your head. But within that bigoted frame, if even an ounce of humanity or conscience is evident, Dr Noor's commentary will hit you like a slap in the face.

Enjoy.

No, this 'Babi' will Not 'Balik Cina'

I have just read the reports on the internet about the goings-on that led to the disruption and early closure of the public forum organised by the Bar Council on Conversion in Malaysia over the weekend.

Apart from the other rather offensive remarks that were featured in the various reports that I read, I also chanced upon a rather curious revelation: Apparently during the commotion caused when some of the so-called 'defenders of the faith' had entered the room where the forum was being held, there were calls for a certain 'Babi' to 'Balik Cina'.

Now I have checked and double-checked all the photos that are available on the internet and have seen no image that corresponds to the 'Babi' in question. Therefore for the sake of academic consistency and objectivity, I am compelled to ask the Bar Council this: Was there a pig in the auditorium where the forum was held? And if so, how could the Bar Council invite a pig to attend a forum that was open primarily for Malaysian citizens (who are overwhelmingly human, as identity papers and passports have not been issued to pigs or any other non-human species as far as I know.)

Furthermore I need to ask how the demonstrators knew that the pig (if one was present) was of Chinese origin? Did it carry a Chinese passport, and if so, why was it in KL when the Olympic games were being held in Beijing and the world's attention was focused there?
(*ed. I can only assume that this was a rather anti-social pig from China who had come to Malaysia to avoid the throngs of tourists who have overtaken Beijing, which would be a sensible thing that I would have done myself, so I confess to having sympathy with this mysterious invisible pig.)

Lest there be any offence to pigs from China, I would like to remind the demonstrators who made that remark that there are enough pigs in southeast asia and that pigs are, in fact, a native species in the region (including Malaysia). To ask this mysterious pig to 'Balik Cina' was therefore offensive to say the least, as it overlooks the fact that it could have been a local Malaysian pig and therefore has every right to be in Malaysia. Though what it was doing at the bar council's forum is anyone's guess.

Here are some categories of local pigs (genus: Sus, subfamily species: suinea (Latin)) that have shared our very same bumi for centuries:

In Malaysia we have the babi hutan, babirusa (genus: Babyrousa) and wild boar (genus: Sus Scrofa) that have been long-time residents of the peninsula. In Indonesia, there are also many types of local pigs such as the Sulawesi Babirusa, the Warty pig of Sulawesi (genus: Sus Celebensis), the Timorese Warty Pig (Genus: Sus Timorensis) and the Javanese Warty hog (Genus: sus Verrocosus). In Vietnam there is of course the Sus Bucculentus, otherwise known as the Indo-Chinese warty pig, while in the Philippines there is the local Sus Cebifrons that hails from the Visa yas Islands.

So how dare some people go around making wild allegations about the alleged foreign citizenship and/or origins of a pig that may or may not have been present at the Bar Council forum? To assume the foreign identity and origin of an individual merely on the basis of appearance and behaviour would reek of the highest form of prejudice, and points only to the ignorance of those who simply do not know: PIGS are not foreign to Malaysia or Southeast Asia. They are as localised and normalised as Durians and Corruption in this country.

Olympics vs Politics

There was Dumb & Dumber, I've heard of Dumb, Dumber, Dumbest, but as much as it was anticipated, the decision to charge Anwar must certainly rank in a level of its own. I'm still thinking of a word for it. Dumbester? Dumberest? Give me a hand here, I can't think of any single word that would describe the action by the AG's Chambers to continue with this charade and press charges against Anwar.

What goes through their heads? They know that there isn't a shred of evidence to show Anwar sodomised Saiful, they're still busy trying to coerce honest people into fabricating evidence, they're still trying to collect Anwar's cum so that they can put a few drops in Saiful's undies, so what the fuck are thinking?

Is it a matter of confidence in our 'esteemed' judiciary? Do the powers that be know that the judge will just dance like a fucking puppet on a string? So there is no need for any evidence. If Anwar shows a flight itinerary showing that he was in China during the date of the alleged sodomy, it will be cast aside as not relevant and attempting to confuse the public. If Saiful has a sudden surge of repentance and change of heart and admits to faking the whole thing, instead of Saiful being charged for making a false police report, criminal defamation etc, etc, he will be given sympathy as being under duress and the charge will go ahead. Even if doctors say that nothing was stuck up Saiful's ass, the charge will go on. Oh yeah, that has already happened, hasn't it? Fuck it la, even if God himself were to appear and say Anwar didn't sodomise Saiful or anyone else, the fucking charge won't be dropped.

So what is it that is going on in the minds of these fellows? No one knows. Sometimes I wonder whether even they themselves know. But one thing I know is that from tomorrow, the ante has been upped. What happens from this point in time is anybody's guess, but with more whistleblowers turning up, more trials coming up and more dirt to be thrown around, it's bound to take some of the shine away from the Beijing Olympics definitely.

At least here in Malaysia.

Just Do It

When I was younger, my mom always used to tell us kids that if we never behaved and aouldn't be corrected in the privacy of our home, then we'll most probably be corrected by somebody from the street. It was a phrase that was said in Tamil (and it definitely sounds better in Tamil) but the meaning is somewhat thereabouts what I've mentioned above. But Tamil or English, the meaning it conveyed was very very clear.

The words came rushing back when I saw the headlines of The Malay Mail yesterday. It has taken an international corporate giant to forcefully open our eyes to the plight of foreign migrant workers in our country. But being Malaysian, it's not that we didn't know, was it? It's just that we're always more comfortable with the "tutup satu mata" syndrome....

But in another typical-Malaysian-style response, our Minister of Human Resources came out with guns blazing. He defended the Malaysian Way of doing things. He attacked the Western media of trying to sabotage investments in Malaysia. He was practically seething with rage at the utter unjustness of the whole thing. NOT the inhumane way the workers were being treated, mind you, but the way Malaysian companies were being portrayed.

"All false. All false." That was the rallying cry of our imbecile of a Minister. Another prime example of the calibre of excellence that is in charge of leading our nation today. He unfortunately shot his mouth off too quick. He should have done his homework or at least gotten somebody in his ministry to do it for him. As is the norm with almost all our politicians, this dickhead was caught with his pants around his ankle and his foot in his mouth (wow! imagine that...) when the newspapers showed still images of the exact living conditions of these workers.

Now, serves us right, NIKE has threatened to remove or cease all operations from Malaysian shores until and unless the Government can compel companies and factories to ensure workers are given basic dignified living and working conditions. Does this mean there will be no more tutup mata by the authorities?

Naah! This is Malaysia. Bolehland. Everything also boleh. "Fuck Nike la, if they don't want to operate here, we can always get other companies to. So many companies are on our waiting list, it's only we haven't given them approval to start operations." Be prepared for spin like this - minus 'fuck' of course - from our leaders in all the major newspapers soon.

Petition

One of the most sacred institutions a country has with which to safeguard her citizens is the Judiciary. The courts of law. The judges. If I want somebody to judge a dispute I have with someone, I want that judge to be fair. I want that judge to be impartial. I want to be able to believe that that judge is fair.

It's a bit like playing football. What's the point of getting yourself all kitted up, and prepared, when you know that the referee has been paid to give your opponent 6 penalties? You'r going to lose anyway, so why bother.

Your trial is going to be a sham anyway, so why bother?

Sad state of affairs? Well, that's how it is here. Judges are appointed who can deliver one-sided judgements. Assholes are appointed to the highly respected position and title of JUDGE, bringing the title and position into disrepute.

This has to end. NOW!!

Below is a petition to our Royal Highness, Tuanku Mizan to look into the proposed appointment of some criminal into the position of Chief Justice. The petition can be accessed at the web address below. Please read and sign and pass it on.

God Bless You!

http://www.petitiononline.com/6ai18u26/petition.html

Doctor, Doctor

So what will it be? MONEY? POWER? POSITION? THREATS? How are the doctors and chemists going to be convinced to "doctor their reports accordingly"? It may take a cocktail of the above to create a cock-tale that will stand strong in court. But then again, the cock-tale may not have to be very strong because the judge can be bought, bribed, threatened or coerced into giving a favourable judgement. Anything's possible. Or, to put it in a sportswear company's words, impossible is nothing.

Yup, no stone will be left unturned, no crooked avenue will be left unchecked, no person or profession will be left in place, just to ensure that Anwar Ibrahim is locked up and put away for good. The folks in power don't give a rat's ass about the due process of law. They're not bothered about the evil they propagate. The voice of the people means nothing to them. (Don't believe me? Check out what Badawi has got to say about his opinion polls results here)

They will do anything, stoop to any level, just to ensure that they remain at the top of the political heap. Doesn't matter to them that that heap is a pile of dung that smells worse than any human or animal excretion put together. They want to be up there. They need to be up there. And pity anyone or anything that stands in their way.

Right now, Anwar stands in their way. He needs to be sent away, for a long time preferably. And the doctors and chemists from the Kuala Lumpur hospital (HKL) stand in the way of that happening. The report must come from them. They are being forced to doctor the report to suit the conspirators. Let me refer back to my plea in my previous post and send this request to the doctors and other staff at HKL. We are not all doctors. We are not all chemistry experts. YOU ARE. You hold the future of our country in your hands.

Our warriors of old held guns and cannons to defend the honour of our country. The Tugu Kebangsaan stands testament to this. For our discussion today, let’s assume the pain is in the region of your anus. Or asshole to put it crudely. What do you do? You’ve tried oils, ointments, Franch oil, and even KY to help relieve the pain but it just won’t stop bugging you. You decide to go see the doctor. You don’t know this good doctor. It’s your first visit. So what do you do? Well, any normal, and I repeat - normal, person would just tell the good doctor about the bloody pain. Right?

You wouldn’t tell the doctor you got the pain because you were playing “see-how-far-this-broom-can-go-up-my-ass”, would you? Maybe you would. You wouldn’t tell the doctor that you can feel a piece of shit stuck so hard up your ass that is causing you the pain, would you? Again, maybe you would.

You see, you might tell your doctor these things because they are accidental incidents. Yup, even the not so popular broom game can cause accidents.

But if somebody deliberately stuffed that broom up your nether regions, wouldn’t you want to go tell the cops first? Simple logic, yes? Unfortunately not for some people.

If you’ve read the latest expose by Raja Petra Kamarudin entitled Doctor on the run: police want him to fabricate evidence against Anwar, you’ll realize that the ploy by certain quarters to catch Anwar Ibrahim with his phallus inside Saiful’s anus seems to be badly thought and planned out.
Someone has graciously shared a copy of the original medical report confirming that the only penetration into Saiful’s anus was most likely made by his own head sometime in the past and not by Anwar at any time. This expose also means that there is a perfectly (il)legitimate reason for the delay in giving Anwar a copy of Saiful’s police report. (Probably still in the final stages of touch up to make sure the report pins Anwar’s ass against the wall)

As a result of this sloppy planning and execution, the schemers currently seem to have their hands full trying to contain the excrement before it hits the fan and starts flying in all directions. The expose by RPK about the doctor’s report is only the beginning of the tide. Soon more and more people will pick up the courage to start revealing bits and pieces of information in their possession. That is when it will become hard-pressed for anyone to contain or stem the tidal flow of truth.( We’ve had a political tsunami already, a landslide anyone?) Can’t say the powers that be aren’t trying, though. Apparently efforts by Malaysiakini and others to contact the higher ups in Pusrawi (the medical centre that Saiful first went to), seem to be drawing a blank. Being a Government linked hospital, it is only expected that the hospital authorities need the go-ahead from the top (how far up?) before issuing any statement to the press.

A reader of Malaysia Today posted a heart-felt plea in the comments section after reading the article. He or she was pleading for anyone, anyone with the clout and with the smallest amount of humanity, to come out with any piece of information. Pusrawi appears to be as good as any a place to begin with. As much as the good doctor is trying hard to stand for truth and justice, I’m pretty sure there are many others in the hospital who would have been privy to the happenings when Saiful came in there.

Similarly, there are people who have information or who know what really happened in so many of the scandals that have rocked and are currently rocking the nation. Altantuya. Champions Youth Cup (CYC). Port Klang Free Trade Zone (PKFTZ). Anwar Ibrahim. Internal Security Act (ISA). Balkis. Tourism Malaysia. Brickendonbury.

Take your pick. None of these could have happened in secret without anyone knowing. The sad fact is all of these sorry issues took place in broad daylight by hoodwinking the people. As such, there must be somebody somewhere who has seen or heard something. Somebody saw Saiful’s medical report. That somebody took it. Kept it. And now it is being released to allow the truth to burst forth. Maybe you’ve seen something, maybe you’ve heard something. Maybe you know somebody who does. Maybe you’ve seen a copy of the agreement to organize the CYC, where the outrageous bidding fee was agreed upon. Or maybe you know the tea-lady who served tea and biscuits at the meeting when the PKFTZ was discussed. Yeah, it may be a long shot and who’s going to believe the tea lady anyway? But these are just examples. You know what I mean.

Somebody, somewhere, knows something. You know who you are. I don’t blame you. Look at Balasubramaniam. Look at Dr Osman. Both have had to take their families and flee into hiding, forced or otherwise, due to their desire and conviction for truth, honesty and justice. So I definitely don’t blame you. But there are other alternative ways of getting the information you hold to come out into the open. You don’t have to sacrifice yourself or your family. If you have information that you know is the truth about some of the things happening around us, pass it on. No amount of coffee shop conversation is going to bring about any change until and unless people in the know come out into the open.

Malaysiakini would be glad to verify your story, RPK would be thrilled to talk to you, or maybe even Nadeswaran and Terence from the Sun would like to meet you. The Bar Council is there, Malik Sarwar is there, Amir Hattan, Jeff Ooi, and other respected bloggers are all available. As long as you can substantiate your claims with evidence, just pass it to these people and / or organizations.

Come forward. Please. Your country needs you. Your fellow citizens need you. The future of our nation is in your hands and in the action you take today.

Just do your own FU*#@NG jobs and Malaysia really will Boleh.

Malaysia Boleh. Well we all know how that one turned out don't we? It started out pretty well, I should say. Initially it was used as a unifying cry, a slogan or phrase that was supposed to be symbolic to all Malaysians. In the same way that Liverpool supporters the world over get goosebumps when they hear the phrase "You'll never walk alone", Malaysians from all walks of life the world over felt a sense of pride when we heard "Malaysia Boleh".

But fast forward to today and we all know that the phrase Malaysia Boleh stands for and is indicative of all that is wrong with our country. Today, Malaysia Boleh is no more something to be proud of. It is used in an insulting way to say that our country is a land where anything is possible. And in case anyone is still not very clear, most of these possibilities are of the negative kind.

For example, we have a Deputy Prime Minister who is so down to earth and close to his constituents and the common folk, that college dropouts can drop by his office to discuss obtaining scholarships. Now, the fact that there is an Education Ministry and a Higher Education Ministry plus the Public Services Department dealing with scholarships added to the fact that the Deputy Prime Minister's office doesn't do scholarships, is another prime example of Malaysia Boleh in action.

Not satisfied with the empathy he shares with the common folk regarding their education, the Deputy Prime Minister also leaves his house door open to all and sundry to come and share their problems with him. Well, Malaysia Boleh.

Anyway, that's all yesterday's news.

Today's newspapers provided yet again another prime example of Malaysia Boleh as exemplified by our leaders. This time it is the Prime Minister himself. As though not having enough on his plate as the leader of the country and the Minister in charge of the finances of the country, he has now taken on the role as spokesperson for the royal Malaysian Police. Yup, with the image of the police force already in shambles as it is, our Prime Minister has been appointed as their spokesman. Whether this exercise is to provide a better or softer image of the force is still up to debate, but what is certain is that it in itself is an exercise in futility. Just as it would be futile to get Saddam Hussein to build up Osama Bin Laden's image.

Or could it be that the Prime Minister has heeded the Ketua Setiausaha Negara's advice to all civil servants and gotten himself another job to supplement his income in these days of belt tightening? Whatever it is, the Prime Minister speaking on behalf of the Police or even speaking to the police regarding an ongoing case which involves one of the Prime Minister's closest political adversaries is just what is needed to make the whole thing seem more like the conspiracy that everyone believes it is.

In any case, below is the report from the online edition of The Star from 19th July 2008 which carried this Malaysia Boleh report. I have included in between the report certain comments and questions that cropped up in my head as i was reading it.

Saturday July 19, 2008

Abdullah urges Anwar to give sample for DNA test

By V.P. SUJATA
PUTRAJAYA: There is no political conspiracy against PKR leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said. (Yeah right! Why would there be? After all, Anwar Ibrahim is irrelevant, isn't he? He only happens to be ONE of the guys interested in your job, right?)
Abdullah also guaranteed Anwar's safety in facing investigations into the sodomy allegation and urged him to allow the authorities to take a sample for DNA test. (I believe you, Anwar believes you, heck the whole country believes you. We saw you arranging for his safety by arranging a convoy of police vehicles to bring him safely to the police station waaay before his appointed time, right?)

Abdullah said no one should believe there was a conspiracy against Anwar although he could not stop the international perception that this was happening. (Err, can you stop anything that's happening ah, you lame limp donkey dick?)

“They said it is something like what had happened before. If one wants to believe, how do we control such things?

“What they are accusing us of is not right at all,” he told reporters here yesterday after launching Hydrofuel, a gadget to help reduce fuel consumption in cars. (I was curious why this little snippet of info was slipped in here. Anyone got any idea who's behind the company importing or marketing this Hydrofuel product?)

Abdullah gave his assurance that investigations into the sodomy allegation against Anwar would be conducted professionally. (By what or whose standards of professionalism are we talking about here, Mr PM? FYI, there exists even professional con artists and professional thieves)

He said he had met Anwar's wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who is PKR president, and party vice-president Azmin Ali and guaranteed them Anwar's safety.

“I can give the assurance. (Like all your other assurances - wedding, election, petrol price? Dei, I also can give assurances la, about anything I want.)

“His wife had met me to ensure there will not be a repeat of the earlier 'black eye' incident.”

He said Azmin had also asked for assurance and he had guaranteed that Anwar would be safe.

“We will investigate according to the provisions of the law,” he said. (But you guys have been known to shift the goalpoasts whenever you need to, what?)

Abdullah said a fresh DNA sample from Anwar was necessary to facilitate investigations.

“The DNA sample the authorities have is too old so they need a new sample. What is wrong with that? (What is wrong with that? What is wrong with that? Go do your homework first before vomiting out information that your stupid speechwriter gives you la. Didn't you read what the DNA experts had to say, that DNA can last for years?)

“If he insists that he is not involved (in sodomy as alleged), give the sample now and we will see the results as proof,” he said. (Can't he also invoke the 'Wallabi Wahallabi' [or something like that] oath that your deputy used, to declare his innocence?)

He added that police wanted to solve the case fast but were unable to do so due to difficulties in getting the DNA sample. (Solve the case fast or put him away fast, Mr PM?)

“If we wanted to complete the case fast, it could have been done yesterday but (it is) not finished yet,” Abdullah said. (WE? WE? Who the flying f*#% is WE? Since when did you join the police force la dei? Or are you saying that the WE is the government, and if you wanted, you could have finished him off yesterday?)

Malaysia Boleh? That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests...........and you will once again be fighting for our freedom... We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, it will henceforth be known as the day Malaysians declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night!" We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive!" (Amendments my own) Didn't you get goosebumps just reading it? Of course you got to add a bit of movie cinematic flourish as you read la. But fuck, that's beside the point.

Yeah okay, maybe I over dramatised things here but that seems to me to be the rally cry going out right this moment. Only difference is, in the movie it went from one man to the crowd. The leader to his followers. In our case, the battle cry seems to be going out from the ground upwards. The leaders (not those little assholes who're always thinking of assholes) are calling for restraint. The leaders are calling for brains, not brawn. But the groundswell is building up momentum. Tremendous momentum. It's been building since long before the March elections. Feeding on the severe injustices around, it has been steadily growing since then.

Whether the arrests of these two iconic figures are part of the political chess game being played out across Malaysia or whether they really committed a crime (yeah, right!!) and deserve to be punished, the outcome can only be one. The groundswell will erupt. How the dumb fucks from barisan handle the groundswell will chart the future course of this country. I'm not going to even think about that prospect at this time. Yes, both, the future under barisan and how they're planning on handling the eruption.

Anyway, as part of my Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), I am going to use this blog to encourage all Malaysians (or the 2 people who read it) to wait for instructions from your leaders before initiating action each on your own. If everybody decides to lead the battle, the battle is doomed.

Flip-Flop Cabinet

Is there anything more to say about the weekend roadblocks that hasn't been said in the papers and around cyberspace? Naah, I don't think so. Efforts by the police to "safeguard the public" left most folk living on the outskirts of KayEll or in the towns surrounding KayEll and trying to get into the city for a weekend of leisure or pleasure must really be fuming and foaming at the mouth. What a load of crap!

Safeguard me? Prevent me from inconvenience due to protesters? Maintain public safety? Yeah right.... Come take mine for a walk. Maybe then I might incline to give you an ear. Come on la... How many of you saw the bloody cops on duty manning those roadblocks? Did they look like they were out to safeguard anyone? Did they even bloody hell look like they were looking for any protesters? Did anyone of the blue shirted cops even check any car to find items that might have compromised public safety? Bollocks!!

They looked to me like they were biding time. Waiting. For what? God only knows. I can only hazard a guess. Monday was supposedly the D-Day in parliament. The opposition was to have moved a motion of no confidence in the PM. My guess is that the police were on standby incase the motion got passed or approved or whatever shit they call it in Parliament-speak.... If that had happened, fat chance actually - seeing that the speaker himself is a pro BN dickhead, then the cops on the street would have gotten the call that they were waiting for. "Anarchy, mayhem, chaos, we need to maintain public order - get the police to 'safely guide the people back home' while we await the latest from the Government" or some shit not dissimilar to that would have been announced to put us effectively in a state of emergency.

Anyway, it's done and dusted. They blocked the roads and we got stuck. Of course we know all their "reasons", and we have got counter questions to them based on that. Like why the entire weekend when the threatened rally was only for Monday? Like why all entry points into the city when the protest was scheduled for parliament? I mean, you already had barbed wire and other preventive stuff in parliament. Like where did you get the info about the protest rally?

Syed Hamid said he got it off the internet from some blogs and a few circulated sms'es. To make himself look intelligent and as if he had done his homework, he even gave a few blog sites that were supposedly calling the people to rally in protest. And he calls it police intelligence gathering.

Well, I guess that's why they found Nurin (apologies to the family) after she'd been chopped up, and they're still looking for Sharlinie. Please Mr Kidnapper, our police need you to send an sms that you have kidnapped Sharlinie or at least you got to blog about it. Our police intelligence seems to depend on vague sms'es or blogs. I don't know about you, but I find that damn insulting to my intelligence. The best part of the story is, hardly a week had gone by since Badawi's infamous clarion call to all and sundry to steer away from gossipy blogs and sms'es. And we have one of his dumb-ass minister doing a flip-flop on it. Can't really blame Syed Hamid now, can you? He also got confused. He thought that when Badawi said don't believe in sms rumours and blog stories, Badawi must have meant the opposite.

In any case, when you have a flip-flop Pm, what more can we expect from his cabinet?

Lina, Zina, Liwat, Jerawat..... Hina la...

Okay, so the killer move by Anwar in refering the whole ass-stabbing case to the Syariah courts has now been scuppered by an even more authoritative and expert move by Syariah experts.

Wow, just browsing the news on our news portals gives one the impression that our academics and scholars, religious or otherwise, have got plenty of time on their hands to look into issues such as these. I mean, what's up with the specific technical details of whether zina is equal to qazaf or whether reporting liwat requires four witnesses? Yes, I know, the law is the law and it must be followed. Especially the Syariah law, as Islam is a way of life and the Quran gives guidelines for every area and aspect of our life.

But aren't we splitting hairs here trying to figure out if someone's ass got split? I'd prefer Islamic scholars to better spend their time looking for teachings in the Quran which enhance the quality of life for believers and non-believers. Look for answers to other more pertinent and pressing issues.

One such is the decree in Kelantan that only card carrying, 5-times-a-day praying Muslims will be considered for promotions in the civil service. How will this affect non-Muslims in the civil service? Go through your books and come up with solutions to this. Read Islamic history and see what the Prophet did in his time in situations like this. See if those are applicable to present day Malaysia.

Spend some time and money in doing statistical research on the correlation between praying 5 times a day and corrupt practices. Spread the deeper truths of the peaceful message of Islam to people like Dr Idris who spread hatred and corrupt the young under the guise of Islam. Look at the teachings of the Quran in respect to suicide and advice local authorities that it is better for the body of a suicide victim to be returned to his non-Muslim family than for it to be buried in the Islamic way because in Islam the soul of a suicide victim cannot go to heaven anyway.

There are so many real issues to be dealt with and your expert and scholastic advice can benefit many among the rakyat, Muslim and non-Muslim. Why ignore all this and look instead at silly and trivial things like how many people need to witness zina compared to how many people need to witness liwat?

Updated - 3.55 pm
For example, please advice me on this.

Our DPM apparently swore something to the extent of ‘Wallahi Wabilahi Watallahi’ in front of his party colleagues. Apparently this is in response to all the pressure mounting on him with regards to the poor old dead Mongolian girl. He doesn't know her he says, he knows her half the country says. He had affair with her some people say. His wife oversaw the blowing up of her others say. So instead of coming out in public and refuting all these allegations (making statements through half past six papers with half past six reporters whose balls you are squeezing doesn't qualify), he swears his oath in front of his party colleagues.

Now does he, just by swearing, become innocent of all the accusations hurled towards him? I'm confused. Really. What do you learned experts in Islamic law have to say regarding this? Shouldn't that swearing take place in a Syariah court? Or at least in front of some religious authority figures? Four would be preferred of course...

Please look into this while you've got your noses poked into all your law books looking for whatever it is you look for.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://strinie-wysiwyg.blogspot.com/2008/07/lina-zina-liwat-jerawat-hina-la.html' title='Lina, Zina, Liwat, Jerawat..... Females included

A thought crossed my mind after looking at the hordes of reporters packing pres conference after press conference. What is in your head? You are journalists man, for god's sake. How can you sit there and listen to the incessant garbage dished out by these mofo's? When something incredulously ludicrous is said, doesn't it strike you as just that, incredulously ludicrous? And what's stopping you from asking or pointing out the sheer stupidity that spew out from the mouths of these %#$*&^$*&.....?

Why? What are you afraid of asking? If you cannot ask or are held back from asking by your superiors, just bloody hell boycott the damn event la.... What f**&%$ing difference does it make if you are there or not? You still report what you are asked to, right? So just send some bloke to take some pictures while you sit in your offices and wait to be told what to write.

For example, when Najib says that teh Saiful bugger came to see him after getting something stuffed up his ass, that has to be something incredible, isn't it? But instead of asking him why something like that could happen, you dutifully report the garbage as such. I mean, what the fuck is that la? Some guy gets his ass plugged, and can walk up to the Deputy Prime Minister of the country for advice and solace. If, as reporters and journalists, you don't find that highly irregular, to say the least, then you are in the wrong fucking profession, period!

Get the fuck out of the and go wash cars or work at a supermarket checkout counter. Same goes for editors and higher ups in the newspaper hierarchy.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://strinie-wysiwyg.blogspot.com/2008/07/where-are-your-balls-females-included.html' title='Where are your balls? Who cares, Lets make something happen.

This is becoming more and more irritating by the day. We have long passed the stage where this whole drama was actually a tiny bit interesting. It is now more like a comedy that has gone stale and is not funny anymore. It is now just plain stupid, imbecilic and a complete waste of everybody's time and intelligence. Or wait, could that be the big idea? Could that be what whoever is conducting this stage show is hoping for? That we get so sick and tired of it, that we lose interest and let whatever will be, to just bloody well be lah.... Que sera sera, Malaysia version?

I don't know. I really don't know. On one hand, we have the number two leader in the country and the guy trying to outwit him into the number one spot, sparring with each other. Then we have the guy who's actually currently occupying the number one spot looking as clueless as ever. In between, we have numerous bit-part players coming in and trying to get their 15 minutes of fame, like Dr Mahathir, Mr Balasubramaniam, Mr Saiful, Mr Syed Hamid Albar, the 'good person' IGP, inter-alia.

And the "fight" between the two contenders for the number one post! My god, what kind of fight is this la? Some kind of No Holes (pun intended) Barred streetfight ah? Or the kind of fight where it is only allowed to hit below the belt ah? The only rule of this fight seems to be who can screw whose arse harder or faster or deeper is the winner. I mean, here are two guys supposedly contesting the highest position of power in the country but using the lowest means possible. The shit being slung at each other really seems to be just sliding out non-stop from sodomised asses, don't you think?

And by the way, who the fuck is the IGP to threaten us that the military may have to be used to maintain order on the streets? Since when did the police chief give orders to the military? Or is it some kind of threat or warning to us so that we will not to gather this Sunday to protest against our reducing standard of living. That's what it is actually. The protest gathering this Sunday is going to see hundreds of thousands, if not the one million the organisers are hoping for, of people turning up not because they want to protest the fuel price increase alone. What ordinary Malaysians are protesting against is the reduction of the standard of their life and lifestyle, at the expense of some fat, greedy bastards calling themselves the government.

Our basic message is simple, "Don't ask us to tighten our belts while gorging yourselves. Don't ask us to change our lifestyle to a minimalistic one while you change yours to a more extravagant one."

The one news today that really made a lot of folks smile is the reassurance given by Badawi that there will not be military rule, emergency etc. and that we are very stable, nothing to worry about, etc, etc. People smiled not so much due to his reassuring message or tone, rather because if this is his flip, then his flop will probably be the exact opposite.

Seriously, if I could afford it, I would take all my family and leave the country immediately for the next few months at least. You see, Badawi said there WILL NOT be any emergency or military rule. You all know what happens whenever Badawi says WILL NOT right? Cos I'm pretty convinced that if the shit really hits the fan and violence were to erupt, Badawi and his family would be the first to leave the country.

All in all, this sandiwara or Drama Minggu Ini has long ago lost it's plot. There's only so much of Mr Bean you can watch also. After about 6 hours you'll probably feel like strangling the bugger. The longer new plots are thrown in or new characters are introduced, that much longer our country is going further down. Don't ask further down in what. It'd be easier to list what areas we are not going downwards in.

Instead of asking what the hell is happening in or to our country, maybe it's time to make something happen. The way the people want it!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://strinie-wysiwyg.blogspot.com/2008/07/whats-happening-la-who-cares-lets-make.html' title='What's Happening La? I didn't know about this yesterday or I would definitely have asked DPM Najib about this. Well, looks like the shit is hitting the fan now, isn't it? My only gripe or niggling feeling about this is why don't people with information like this come out early with it...

Ya..ya...ya, better late then never, you say, but by delaying like this, they are just opening themselves up to doubts about their motives and sincerity...

Well anyway, below is the full SD as declared by Razak's bodyguard, Mr Balasubramaniam.....

The following is the full 16-page statutory declaration sign by Abdul Razak Baginda's private investigor P Balasubramaniam on July 1.
MCPX

I, Balasubramaniam a/l Perumal ... do solemly and sincerely declare as follows:

1. I have been a police officer with the Royal Malaysian Police Force, having joined as a constable in 1981 attached to the police field force. I was then promoted to the rank of lance corporal and finally resigned from the police force in 1998 when I was with the Special Branch.

2. I have been working as a freelance private investigator since I left the police force.

3. Sometime in June or July 2006, I was employed by Abdul Razak Baginda for a period of 10 days to look after him at his office at the Bangunan Getah Asli, Jalan Ampang between the hours of 8am to 5pm each working day as apparently he was experiencing disturbances from a third party.

4. I resigned from this job after 2½ days as I was not receiving any proper instructions.

5. I was however re-employed by Abdul Razak Baginda on the Oct 5, 2006 as he had apparently received a harassing phone call from a Chinese man calling himself ASP Tan who had threatened him to pay his debts. I later found out this gentleman was in fact a private investigator called Ang who was employed by a Mongolian woman called Altantuya Shaaribuu.

6. Abdul Razak Baginda was concerned that a person by the name of Altantuya Shaaribuu, a Mongolian woman, was behind this threat and that she would be arriving in Malaysia very soon to try and contact him.

7. Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that he was concerned by this as he had been advised that Altantuya Shaaribuu had been given some powers by a Mongolian ‘bomoh’ and that he could never look her in the face because of this.

8. When I enquired as to who this Mongolian woman was, Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that she was a friend of his who had been introduced to him by a VIP and who asked him to look after her financially.

9. I advised him to lodge a police report concerning the threatening phone call he had received from the Chinese man known as ASP Tan but he refused to do so as he informed me there were some high-profile people involved.

10. Abdul Razak Baginda further told me that Altantuya Shaaribuu was a great liar and good in convincing people. She was supposed to have been very demanding financially and that he had even financed a property for her in Mongolia.

11. Abdul Razak Baginda then let me listen to some voice messages on his handphone asking him to pay what was due otherwise he would be harmed and his daughter harassed.

12. I was therefore supposed to protect his daughter Rowena as well.

13. On Oct 9, 2006 I received a phone call from Abdul Razak Baginda at about 9.30am informing me that Altantuya was in his office and he wanted me there immediately. As I was in the midst of a surveillance, I sent my assistant Suras to Abdul Razak Baginda’s office and I followed a little later. Suras managed to control the situation and had persuaded Altantuya and her two friends to leave the premises. However Altantuya left a note written on some Hotel Malaya notepaper, in English, asking Abdul Razak Baginda to call her on her handphone (number given) and wrote down her room number as well.

14. Altantuya had introduced herself to Suras as ‘Aminah’ and had informed Suras she was there to see her boyfriend Abdul Razak Baginda.

15. These three Mongolian girls however returned to Abdul Razak Baginda’s office at the Bangunan Getah Asli, Jalan Ampang again, the next day at about 12 noon. They did not enter the building but again informed Suras that they wanted to meet Aminah’s boyfriend, Abdul Razak Baginda.

16. On Oct 11, 2006, Aminah returned to Abdul Razak Baginda’s office on her own and gave me a note to pass to him, which I did. Abdul Razak Baginda showed me the note which basically asked him to call her urgently.

17. I suggested to Abdul Razak Baginda that perhaps it may be wise to arrange for Aminah to be arrested if she harassed him further, but he declined as he felt she would have to return to Mongolia as soon as her cash ran out.

18. In the meantime, I had arranged for Suras to perform surveillance on Hotel Malaya to monitor the movements of these three Mongolian girls, but they recognised him. Apparently they become friends with Suras after that and he ended up spending a few nights in their hotel room.

19. When Abdul Razak Baginda discovered Suras was becoming close to Aminah he asked me to pull him out from Hotel Malaya.

20. On the Oct 14, 2006, Aminah turned up at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house in Damansara Heights when I was not there. Abdul Razak Baginda called me on my handphone to inform me of this so I rushed back to his house. As I arrived, I noticed Aminah outside the front gates shouting “Razak, bastard, come out from the house”. I tried to calm her down but couldn’t, so I called the police who arrived in two patrol cars. I explained the situation to the police, who took her away to the Brickfields police station.

21. I followed the patrol cars to Brickfields police station in a taxi. I called Abdul Razak Baginda and his lawyer Dirren to lodge a police report but they refused.

22. When I was at the Brickfields police station, Aminah’s own private investigator, one Mr Ang arrived and we had a discussion. I was told to deliver a demand to Abdul Razak Baginda for US$500,000 and three tickets to Mongolia, apparently as commission owed to Aminah from a deal in Paris.

23. As Aminah had calmed down at this stage, a policewoman at the Brickfields police station advised me to leave and settle the matter amicably.

24. I duly informed Abdul Razak Baginda of the demands Aminah had made and told him I was disappointed that no one wanted to back me up in lodging a police report. We had a long discussion about the situation when I expressed a desire to pull out of this assignment.

25. During this discussion and in an attempt to persuade me to continue my employment with him, Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that:

1) He had been introduced to Aminah by Najib Razak at a diamond exhibition in Singapore.

2) Najib Razak informed Abdul Razak Baginda that he had a sexual relationship with Aminah and that she was susceptible to anal intercourse.

3) Najib Razak wanted Abdul Razak Baginda to look after Aminah as he did not want her to harass him since he was now the deputy prime minister.

4) Najib Razak, Abdul Razak Baginda and Aminah had all been together at a dinner in Paris.

5) Aminah wanted money from him as she felt she was entitled to a US$500,000 commission on a submarine deal she assisted with in Paris.

26. On Oct 19, 2006, I arrived at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house in Damansara Heights to begin my night duty. I had parked my car outside as usual. I saw a yellow Proton Perdana taxi pass by with three ladies inside, one of whom was Aminah. The taxi did a U-turn and stopped in front of the house where these ladies rolled down the window and wished me ‘Happy Deepavali’. The taxi then left.

27. About 20 minutes later the taxi returned with only Aminah in it. She got out of the taxi and walked towards me and started talking to me. I sent an SMS to Abdul Razak Baginda informing him “Aminah was here”. I received an SMS from Razak instructing me “to delay her until my man comes”.

28. Whist I was talking to Aminah, she informed me of the following:

1) That she met Abdul Razak Baginda in Singapore with Najib Razak.
2) That she had also met Abdul Razak Baginda and Najib Razak at a dinner in Paris.

3) That she was promised a sum of US$500,000.00 as commission for assisting in a submarine deal in Paris.

4) That Abdul Razak Baginda had bought her a house in Mongolia but her brother had refinanced it and she needed money to redeem it.

5) That her mother was ill and she needed money to pay for her treatment.

6) That Abdul Razak Baginda had married her in Korea as her mother is Korean whilst her father was a Mongolian/Chinese mix.

7) That if I wouldn’t allow her to see Abdul Razak Baginda, would I be able to arrange for her to see Najib Razak.

29. After talking to Aminah for about 15 minutes, a red Proton Aeroback arrived with a woman and two men. I now know the woman to be lance corporal Rohaniza and the men, Azilah Hadri and Sirul Azahar. They were all in plainclothes. Azilah walked towards me while the other two stayed in the car.

30. Azilah asked me whether the woman was Aminah and I said “Yes”. He then walked off and made a few calls on his handphone. After 10 minutes another vehicle, a blue Proton Saga, driven by a Malay man, passed by slowly. The drivers window had been wound down and the driver was looking at us.

31. Azilah then informed me they would be taking Aminah away. I informed Aminah they were arresting her. The other two persons then got out of the red Proton and exchanged seats so that lance corporal Rohaniza and Aminah were in the back while the two men were in the front. They drove off and that is the last I ever saw of Aminah.

32. Abdul Razak Baginda was not at home when all this occurred.

33. After Oct 19, 2006, I continued to work for Abdul Razak Baginda at his house in Damansara Heights from 7pm to 8am the next morning, as he had been receiving threatening text messages from a woman called ‘Amy’ who was apparently ‘Aminah’s’ cousin in Mongolia.

34. On the night of Oct 20, 2006, both of Aminah’s girlfriends turned up at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house enquiring where Aminah was. I informed them she had been arrested the night before.

35. A couple of nights later, these two Mongolian girls, Mr Ang and another Mongolian girl called ‘Amy’ turned up at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house looking for Aminah as they appeared to be convinced she was being held in the house.

36. A commotion began so I called the police who arrived shortly thereafter in a patrol car. Another patrol car arrived a short while later in which was the investigating officer from the Dang Wangi police station who was in charge of the missing persons report lodged by one of the Mongolians girls, I believe was Amy.

37. I called Abdul Razak Baginda who was at home to inform him of the events taking place at his front gate. He then called DSP Musa Safri and called me back informing me that Musa Safri would be calling handphone and I was to pass the phone to the inspector from Dang Wangi police station.

38. I then received a call on my handphone from Musa Safri and duly handed the phone to the Dang Wangi inspector. The conversation lasted 3-4 minutes after which he told the girls to disperse and to go to see him the next day.

39. On or about Oct 24, 2006, Abdul Razak Baginda instructed me to accompany him to the Brickfields police station as he had been advised to lodge a police report about the harassment he was receiving from these Mongolian girls.

40. Before this, Amy had sent me an SMS informing me she was going to Thailand to lodge a report with the Mongolian consulate there regarding Aminah’s disappearance. Apparently she had sent the same SMS to Abdul Razak Baginda. This is why he told me he had been advised to lodge a police report.

41. Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that DPS Musa Safri had introduced him to one DSP Idris, the head of the criminal division, Brickfields police station, and that Idris had referred him to ASP Tonny.

42. When Abdul Razak Baginda had lodged his police report at Brickfields police station, in front of ASP Tonny, he was asked to make a statement but he refused as he said he was leaving for overseas. He did however promise to prepare a statement and hand ASP Tonny a thumbdrive. I know that this was not done as ASP Tonny told me.

43. However ASP Tonny asked me the next day to provide my statement instead and so I did.

44. I stopped working for Abdul Razak Baginda on Oct 26, 2006 as this was the day he left for Hong Kong on his own.

45. In mid-November 2006, I received a phone call from ASP Tonny from the IPK Jalan Hang Tuah asking me to see him regarding Aminah’s case. When I arrived there I was immediately arrested under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.

46. I was then placed in the lock up and remanded for five days. On the third day, I was released on police bail.

47. At the end of November 2006, the D9 department of the IPK sent a detective to my house to escort me to the IPK Jalan Hang Tuah. When I arrived, I was told I was being arrested under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. I was put in the lock up and remanded for seven days.

48. I was transported to Bukit Aman where I was interrogated and questioned about an SMS I had received from Abdul Razak Baginda on Oct 19, 2006 which read “delay her until my man arrives”. They had apparently retrieved this message from Abdul Razak Baginda’s handphone.

49. They then proceeded to record my statement from 8.30 am to 6pm everyday for seven consecutive days. I told them all I knew including everything Abdul Razak Baginda and Aminah had told me about their relationships with Najib Razak but when I came to sign my statement, these details had been left out.

50. I have given evidence in the trial of Azilah, Sirul and Abdul Razak Baginda at the Shah Alam High Court. The prosecutor did not ask me any questions in respect of Aminah’s relationship with Najib Razak or of the phone call I received from DSP Musa Safri, whom I believe was the ADC for Najib Razak and/or his wife.

51. On the day Abdul Razak Baginda was arrested, I was with him at his lawyers office at 6.30am. Abdul Razak Baginda informed us that he had sent Najib Razak an SMS the evening before as he refused to believe he was to be arrested, but had not received a response.

52. Shortly thereafter, at about 7.30am, Abdul Razak Baginda received an SMS from Najib Razak and showed, this message to both myself and his lawyer. This message read as follows: “ I am seeing IGP at 11am today … matter will be solved … be cool”.

53. I have been made to understand that Abdul Razak Baginda was arrested the same morning at his office in the Bangunan Getah Asli, Jalan Ampang.

54. The purpose of this Statutory declaration is to:

1) State my disappointment at the standard of investigations conducted by the authorities into the circumstances surrounding the murder of Altantuya Shaaribuu.

2) Bring to the notice of the relevant authorities the strong possibility that there are individuals other than the three accused who must have played a role in the murder of Altantuya Shaaribuu.

3) Persuade the relevant authorities to reopen their investigations into this case immediately so that any fresh evidence may be presented to the court prior to submissions at the end of the prosecutions case.

4) Emphasise the fact that having been a member of the Royal Malaysian Police Force for 17 years, I am absolutely certain no police officer would shoot someone in the head and blow up their body without receiving specific instructions from their superiors first.

5) Express my concern that should the defence not be called in the said murder trial, the accused, Azilah and Sirul will not have to swear on oath and testify as to the instructions they received and from whom they were given.

55. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same be true and by virtue of the provisions of the Statutory Declaration Act 1960.

Balasubramaniam a/l Perumal
July 1, 2008

Taken from Malaysiakini.com

Interview with Dato' Seri Najib

Seriously, I burst out laughing. I couldn't help it. I mean, I was in a mamak shop, with Jaden, and there were loads of other people around also, but i just couldn't help it. The headline of The SUN cracked me up and I burst into fits of laughter.

NAJIB: I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!

That was the headline.

Duh! What, were you really expecting him to say anything other than that? Lets just imagine for a minute that he had in fact said something else....

S (strinie): Dato', there have been rumors saying you know about the most recent allegations concerning Anwar Ibrahim (AI). Any comment?

DSN (Dato' Seri Najib): You mean the allegations of main belakang? It wasn't a surprise to me la.

S: You mean you knew about it?

DSN: Of course la I know about it, I am the Deputy Prime Minister... Everything also I must know, otherwise cannot survive la.

S: In that case, Dato', is there any truth behind the allegations? Is AI really into that kind of sexual activity?

DSN: I don't know la, I know my wife tak suka kalu saya nak try ngan dia. That one, you kena ask his wife la. But no, the allegations I know is not true punya... Macam last time also same, we just bikin cerita, bagi sedap sikit, rakyat also will believe...

S: But repeating the sodomy allegation again, Dato', aren't you worried this time the rakyat won't believe it?

DSN: Maybe, but maybe they also still believe. But tak apa, tak jadi masalah. I am the DPM, this is our government. Kita yang run the country, so kita boleh make the arrangements. Just put in the main papers and tv and repeat a few days or weeks, the rakyat can believe it.

S: But aren't the rakyat relying more on the internet for their news nowadays?

DSN: That one only in KL, Penang, Ipoh, JB, Kuantan, big cities only. The makcik and pakcik still believe the normal newspapers. For them, they will see the paper and the news about Anwar, and it is enough for them. Even if there is no court case ke, no evidence ke, apa pun takpe juga, the makcik and pakcik won't vote for him anymore because he main belakang....hehe...

S: But in the event there is a court case, don't you think it will be difficult to convict AI again for something that the court has already overturned?

DSN: Overturn, convict, evidence, judge, AG, is all belongs to the government la... So difficult for you to understand? We put our man to make the report, we put our man to investigate the report, we put our man to take action on the investigation, we put our man to charge in court, then our man is the judge also, how can the case be lost?

S: In other words, Dato', can you confirm that you and your government have everything to do with this allegations?

DSN: Of course! This was planned by us and done by us, so how can we say we don't know or don't have anything to do with it? That would be lying wouldn't it? Any you all know that the BN government doesn't lie to the rakyat.

S: Thank you, Dato' Seri.

This would have been one heck of a newspaper report wouldn't it? I don't know, we'll never know. What I do know is it wouldn't have made me laugh so much....

ps. the above is entirely a figment of my imagination and never transpired in actual fact.

Evil Spirits

I'm not so keen into numerology or name-orology or astrology, but I don't have any bones to pick with those who do. It's just that our Prime Minister's name struck me as something that is a bad omen....

Bad-Awi as a name probably has got some deep meaning in the Hadharic version of Islam, but if you mix a little bit of English and Tamil, the name means bad or evil spirit

Awi means spirit in Tamil so if you read his in tamil it would read "ketta aawi" which means evil spirit....

Cravings

What goes around certainly does come back around doesn't it? Or would you prefer to say history has a knack of repeating itself? Aww heck, for the fun of it, why don't we just say that the "Bhai Style" is back in vogue again? Yeah....our political bigwigs are back at it again. They're taking the phrase "I'm gonna get your ass for this" to a new (ok, maybe not so new) and downright ludicrous level.

Oh no, not again, please.... Why are our politicians so unnaturally (or naturally) attracted to an act that is deemed unnatural by our law? What is it about Sodomy that gets our politicians' knickers in tight knots? Is that the easiest crime to charge someone with? Or is it a crime that effectively kills two birds with one stone? Makes the accused a criminal, because it is a crime in Malaysian law, and also makes the accused an outcast among the ordinary folk - waah...dia nie suka main belakang orang tau, jaga-jaga ngan dia, jangan toleh belakang atau bend-down depan dia....

I can't help but be amazed with the timing of the accusations man... Raja Petra says he was on the brink of receiving some damaging info from Anwar when this happens. The shock waves from the SD of last week hasn't abated much either. So is this a diversionary measure or a way of telling Anwar we can get your ass anytime we want to?

Then we have our flip-flop PM. Allow me to digress here a bit. Flip-flop in itself carries an image of inconsistency, doesn't it? So in the case of our PM, who's so consistent in his inconsistency (flip-flops), can we still address him as Mr Flip-flop? Just something to chew on...

Anyway, back to PM Badawi. According to him and his extensive knowledge of the law and how it works, together with his knowledge of Human Psychology, when someone is accused, he or she will definitely deny it. Here he was obviously referring to Anwar. Anwar has been accused, so he will definitely deny it. If this is his flop, then his flip must have been when he came to the defense of his deputy last week when the deputy was accused of being involved in the murder of Altantuya Shaariibu. When Badawi's deputy was accused, not only the deputy, but Badawi himself, his son-in-law, the Attorney General all jumped to his defense.

Anyway, I'm going to stop here for definitely there's more to crawl out from the cracks (not butt cracks) of this story...

Oh...and if you're wondering the connection between the title and the post, it's a 10 year old inside joke in Malaysia. What is the most famous mee (rice noodle) in Malaysia? Sodo-mee. And right now I am very hungry and am craving for, you guessed it, some Sodo-mee...

Reverse the Burden

The petrol price increase has spawned lots of interesting and eye-catching feedback, hasn't it? From right here in cyber-space to the sms columns of the newspapers and even the main columns and comments, there have been angry responses, angrier responses, and even more angry responses. The common theme among most of the response has been the anger, hasn't it?

No one can blame us folks for venting our anger out now, can they? I mean, on one hand we have to deal with the increase. Then we also have to deal with the inconsistencies of our government in relationship to the price increase. It's like that popular song "Jenny", where the words go something like, First you say you won't, Then you say you will, .... Jenny, what's the problem?

The quantum of increase is also something that we ordinary joes got to worry about. An increase of 78.4 cents (NOT 78 cents as announced by Badawi) per liter is no small or laughing matter to us ordinary joes. Believe me, or if you don't believe me, read my previous posting of an anonymous letter from cyberspace.

Then as if to compound our misery further, every sole trader, partnership, enterprise, sdn. bhd.co, bhd co, legal or illegal company will try to pass on the cost of the increasing prices to us, the unfortunate consumer.

So not only do we have to suffer the increase in price, but to cushion these business folk, we have to suffer the increase in price for them as well. What can we do? They have all of us by the balls. We need to cook and feed the kids, right? The gas man is going to increase the price because he can't sustain. The market guy is going to sell his greens for higher because he can't sustain.

I read in one of the comments in MT earlier that a school bus driver already asked for RM 9 more from each parent saying, yup you guessed it, I can't sustain. And it's been hardly two days since the announcement.

Today's papers quote some Datuk OK Lee as saying that manufacturers will definitely pass the cost on to the consumer because otherwise they won't be able to sustain and will have to go out of business.

So every fellow out there who has got something to sell is going to raise his selling price to the end consumer because he or she cannot sustain his or her business. And where does the end consumer go for recourse? Work overtime? Get a second job? Sell the car? Sell the house? Sell the kids? Heck, why don't you just sell yourself? I'm sure there're folks out there who'd pay good money for virgin arses.

Why can't these businesses sustain themselves? What is wrong with their fundamentals? Aren't they prepared for the uncertainties that come together with being in business? As far as I know, the only businesses that are financially risk free are if you run a brothel or a religious centre (Wow, imagine that).

These business owners should realize that they are punishing the wrong folk by increasing their prices and squeezing the ordinary folk. They should hit out at the government for this, not their customers.

Let me make a suggestion to you business folk out there. I don't care if you're a stall selling sweets in the pasar malam, or you're a giant cement producing corporation, this suggestion is for you. Instead of passing on the increased cost of operating to your customers, why don't you pass it on to the government instead for a change?

How? Simple, don't increase your prices. Sell at the same current prices. Your profits will go down, you say? How much has it gone down? If it went down by 50,000 ringgit, deduct 50,000 ringgit from the amount you need to pay the government in your end of year taxes. See how they like it then. Yeah, but it's illegal, you say? Well anything that brings about good for the people can't be all that bad can it? And anyway, the government's not going to become bankrupt by this as they are saving roughly 15 billion ringgit right?

Well, there you have it... Now do I see any corporation or business entity brave or selfless enough to take the first step towards this? Or is the plight of the ordinary people as important to you as it is to our government?

Open Letter

An angry rant from a Malaysian at the complete and utter ineptitude of our government leaders in utilising the resources available to this rich land. An open letter to our Prime Minister.....

Dearest Prime Minister...FUCK YOU!!

I'm fuckin' pissed. Like REALLY motherfuckin' FUCK YOU BASTARD sort of pissed, you backwater retard.

Today I spent 2 hours caught in a fuckin' traffic jam coming back from work. As I sat in the fuckin' snarl watchin' the faces of other drivers who looked like they were ready to break stuff, I realised that how every single fuckin' thing that went wrong today all points at you.

Like a fuckin' Night Shymalan movie or finale of LOST, everything is related and all dots connect to spell a FUCK YOU BN. Cibai.

How, you ask? Shut the fuck up and listen.

It rained today. REALLY heavy. As a result, all roads in Kuala Lumpur came to a standstill. Why? Is it because all cars in the capital of Malaysia is made out of paper and will disintegrate in the rain? Fuck no.

Everything came to a halt because any downpour more than 15 minutes causes "flash floods" in the most traffic-heavy parts of the city. As fast as money disappears under Khir Toyo's administration, water levels will rise whenever it pours in KL. Causing many parts of the big city to become inaccessible. And jammed. Filled with angry motorists and stranded commuters.

We have a SMART Tunnel. Which "supposedly" helps to drain water out during floods. We have public transportation. Which "supposedly" means less vehicles on the road. We have mega criss-crossing highways littered with toll booths. Which"supposedly" provides easy access to different parts of Klang Valley.

But that's all our country is good for. Launching something and letting monkeys run it. NONE OF THOSE FUCKING THINGS WORK PROPERLY.

Simply put, heavy rains are beyond our control. How we deal with it is not. Or shouldn't be.

Fuck all the talk about "winning the 5 States back" when you can't even address the problems blowing up in your own backyard one by fucking one.

So with the fucking rain causing enough havoc as it is ... then came the fuckin' announcement that effective from 12am midnight, petrol prices will increase to RM2.70 a litre from RM1.92.

WHAT A FUCKING JOKE. Only days ago the PM's office gave a press statement saying the prices will increase by August. PM himself said before earlier this year that there won't be a price hike. But I guess we all know this is the same guy who CONVINCINGLY DECLARED on Tuesday that Parliament won't be dissolved on Wednesday when it actually did came the day. If he was Pinocchio he could represent Malaysia in pole vaulting in Beijing using his blower only.

FUCK THE PETROL HIKE. Unfuckinbelievable jam is but the beginning. Inflation is bound to hit hard at everyone's pockets.

Granted the price of oil is escalating globally. Granted the American economy crisis is having some spillover effect to world economics.

But we're a FUCKING PETROL PRODUING NATION!!! Like Saudi. It's 40cents a litre over there. We're a fuckin nation that produces motherfuckin' oil. OIL!! And yet we're saying we can't do a thing. Simple economics dictates that if you PRODUCE OIL, and OIL prices go up, you GET BIGGER PROFITS DON'T YOU?!?!

Petronas rakes in billions EVERY fuckin' year. Yet the government says it can't subsidise us without major cutbacks in other areas like healthcare and shit. FUCK YOU ALL. Just cutback on the kickbacks and under counter money and we'll have enough to subsidise petrol to be under RM1 per litre.

This is what happens when you take village-like, count-up-to-10-with-fingers fuckers to fill in top posts in the Government and Cabinet. This is what happens when you have a despotic party overstaying its fat stay at the top of the food chain.

This is a fuckin' joke I tell ya. First the price of flour. Then cooking oil. Then price of pork. Now petrol. CIBAI KHEONG KAN LEMA KA CHAO CIBAI.

FUCK YOU, you and you. All of you.

YES BARISAN NASIONAL, UMNO and the ENTIRE Badawi Administration. This is your encore. GET THE FUCK OUT.

Now I wonder how if possible I can get the Prime Minister to read this.

Note - I do not take credit for writing this letter. Came upon it in cyberspace and felt it had to be shared with as many people as possible.

Wasted Sperm

It was about eight months ago that a couple of brutes (i would like to use coarser words here, but my mother reads this) robbed me of my mobile phone. A month prior to that, my wife lost her mobile to another couple of the same kind of brutes. A year or so before that, my mother was brutally assaulted by yet another duo of the same despicable kind. I am not labeling them as yet, but you definitely get the drift of what I am referring to, right? And no, it is not an error that I have used 'what' to refer to them, instead of 'who'.

Yup, those brutes on motorbikes who used to terrorize the streets and other motorists with their daredevil stunts and devil-may-care attitude towards road safety. Call them what you like - mat rempits or snatch thieves or road devils (not to be confused with the brilliant Red Devils, of course), these bunch of ass holes (sorry, Ma) have now become the scourge of decent people all over Malaysia. I prefer to call them wasted sperm. No disrespect to the fathers of these animals, but if you had practiced coitus interruptus and disposed of the sperm that you impregnated your wife with into the nearest drain, we could all have been spared their torture.

Not only they scare the living daylights out of motorists, they have now turned their attention to robbing innocent, hardworking people of their belongings.

The latest attack by these bunch of losers on five girls in Bangsar has got everybody and his uncle plus his dog upset and concerned. Rightly so. This scourge or curse has been around for some time now, since 2004 to quote a leading afternoon newspaper. But the policeman incharge of giving statements to the press proudly states that his force have been actively hunting them down for the last one month.

Yup, you read me correctly, one month. Uno mese. Un mois. Una mes. Satu bulan. For more than four fucking (sorry again, Ma) years, the bastards have been scaring the living daylights out of the people and our sorry excuse for a police force has been actively on it for ONE MONTH. I guess this qualifies them to drop the cekap part from their Bersih, Cekap, Amanah motto. Oh ya, the bersih was bribed away a long time ago already.

The same police officer then proceeds to make it look like it is partly Joe Public's fault that the police cannot catch and charge these criminals. He insists that the public need be more proactive in apprehending the biker dudes and handing them over to the cops. He says that unless they are caught in the act, it is impossible to identify them just by stopping them at roadblocks. Agreed. You can't generalise. You can't arrest everybody on suspicion of being a Mat Rempit.

But maybe the police might want to get in touch with one Encik Khairy Jamaludin of UMNO youth fame. Apparently this dude has the contact numbers of a lot of these Mat Rempits on his speed dial. Heck, he even managed to get them to work for him during the recent General Elections.

When a deputy minister in our cabinet has such close links with what the public perceive as a menace to society, is it any wonder then that they seem to be increasingly rampant?

But I guess all this is too much work for our over-worked, under-paid and under-staffed police force. Most of them are also wasted sperm themselves. They'd rather stand on street corners to fine and issue summonses to the public than to arrest criminals.

True Colors

It is said you see a man's true colors or characteristics in how he responds to a crisis. As long as there is no crisis, the carefully built up charade and facade can be maintained. But mind you, it can't be any old crisis we're talking about here, it has to be a crisis that has a direct bearing on said man. Reading about a crisis happening halfway around the world will force a man to reveal his true nature and colors as much as heavy rain in Singapore will cause crops to abound in Kedah.

Speaking of Kedah, true colors and crisis reminds me of our old Prime Minister, and yes I very much mean old, and the current jolly good mess he finds himself in. Can't blame the old geezer for feeling cranky and upset, though.

As any parent of a 2-4 year old will tell you, once a kid has your permission to play with a certain toy for a certain amount of time, any change of heart on your part about allowing him to play with it at a later date or time will cause the kid to become upset. Now the degree of upsetness can vary according to kid, but the fact is, the kid is used to that toy and your decision to withhold it from him will upset him. Some may sulk, others may disregard you and play with it behind your back, some others might throw a tantrum, some may roll on the floor and scream bloody murder - hoping you'll relent and give in, some will retreat in prolonged silence and i'm supposing as many other different reactions as there are different types of kids.

But what's this got to do with the old dude? Well, firstly, he's behaving like a kid who's toy's been yanked away from him. Close your eyes and pick any of the above levels of upsetness and I'm sure you can apply it to one or another of Mahathir's actions over the last year or so.

Here's a guy whose toy for 22 years has suddenly been taken away from him. Infact he thought the new kid was only going to play with it for a little while and, even if not give it back to him, at least then to somebody who'll allow him to play with it once in a while. But, as so often happens to even the best laid plans, it got screwed. someway along the line, the new kid decided that he liked the toy so much, he wasn't gonna part with it.

"Hey", you're asking, "what's all this children squabbling got to do with how you started the blog?" Doesn't it look like a mighty big crisis to you? Well, put yourself in the shoes of a 4 year old kid who's just had a toy snatched from him and is being told he can't touch it anymore, let alone play with it.

Suddenly the cultured, nehru-suit style of gentlemanly demeanor has flown out the window. In its place a malay warrior now stands. All of a sudden, all traces of bangsa Malaysia has disappeared from his speech and replaced by bangsa Melayu. He looked anyone in the eye and fought for his country, but now, although he can still look anyone in the eye, it's to fight for himself, and to a certain extent, his family.

This is by no means a Mahathir bashing exercise. I don't need a let-it-all-out-you'll-feel-better session here. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I almost idolised this man at one time. He was the Malaysian hero. He put Malaysia on the world map. I felt proud of this man when I looked up at the twin towers. But today, place this man next to someone like Raja Petra Kamarudin and you'll see for yourself who's the real MALAYSIAN hero. A man who knows what it is to be really MALAYSIAN.

At the end, if anyone reading this is disappointed not to read any character assassination of Mahathir here, my apologies. You read and come to your own conclusions about true characteristics and colors.

Malaysia(ns) in Action

Wanna see Malaysia in Action? Or should it be Malaysians in Action.... Either way, to get the truest picture of what Malaysia is all about, get your hands on a copy of today's (29-May-08) The Malay Mail and look no further than the main picture on the cover page. Whoever said that a picture speaks a thousand words got it spot on as this amazing picture will show and tell you.

Forget all the gobbledy-gook from the mouths of our politicians (Barisan Nasional, mainly), and the venomous, racially tinged garbage from the same above-mentioned mouths. For all their words, and gesticulations over the last 50 years, especially in the last few months, this picture in the Malay Mail has spoken with more eloquence, more class, more dignity and above all, more truth about what the Malaysian Nation is all about.

The image of ordinary Malaysians of various racial descent standing shoulder to shoulder pushing a block of concrete should be blown up, printed and pasted on billboards all over the country. Now this is no trivial image, neither is it a trivial, insignificant piece of stone. That block should weigh anywhere in the region of 1 - 1.5 tonnes (contractors, please enlighten me if this estimate is wrong). Moving it is no small matter. I've tried moving small stone slabs that are used to cover drains and those little monsters are tough. And those weigh only about 80 kilograms each.

Honestly speaking, I stopped and stared at the picture in the Malay Mail for a very long time. What a way to show the world - err....wait, not the world perhaps, but our own government maybe - that when we Malaysians stand shoulder to shoulder, we can and will, move mountains.

So maybe they can stop giving us the crap that one group is worried about the other group robbing rights and racial tension boiling and they are the only ones who can keep it from spilling over. Hey, maybe the owners of The Malay Mail could do the rest of us a favor and send a complimentary copy of the paper or at least that picture to our cabinet members and BN politicians. Let them see how we, the ordinary rakyat, channel our boiling tensions towards things that concern us and our livelihood. Not against each other, as our government would have us believe.

Anyway, as I was saying, I stared at the picture hard and long. I almost cried. But I didn't. Held them tears in. Big boys too don't cry, you know? Then I heard it, on the radio. Here in my home. That lovely song by Malaysian Artistes For Unity. It is a wonderful musical piece by a group of artistes who pooled their talents for the country they love.

What can I say? It's moving. The song that is. Another fine example of Malaysians side-by-side or shoulder to shoulder or however you feel is the most appropriate way of describing it. Go listen to it. (You can access it by clicking the Here In My Home banner at the top right of this page) But also get your hands on the Malay Mail for THAT picture.

Manchester United

I know this is a few days late, and the initial euphoria and exhilaration of having beaten Chelsea to pick up another European Champions title is slowly dying off already. In the boss' own words, "can't wait to take the team to the 2009 CL final in Rome".

However I'm prompted to write this due to two things, one a matter of reliving the heart stopping excitement of THAT night, and the other to get something off my chest.

I don't think I need to say more about THAT night, do I? Manchester United being Manchester United just couldn't win the darn trophy the easy way. The team had to lead millions of fans worldwide through the gates of hell and back before allowing us to breathe sighs of relief. Think 1999 was torture? 2008 was equally or more torturous. Having blown a lead instead of building on it with countless misses, we had to let banana-peel Terry have the glorious ignominy of slipping and giving us a lifeline. Most United fans had by then keyed in the four-letter word in CAPITAL letters on their phones to be sent to their buddies and fellow fans through text messages. When all of a sudden Terry slips and the four letter word is replaced by the affirmative YES!!

And the rest as they say is history, with which I wish not to bore the United fans and torture the ABU brigade.

As I am being graciously content to just relish the victory that has been this season and not rub it into Chelsea and ABU faces, I come across a notification on Facebook that one of my cousins has joined a group called Stand Up If You Hate Manchester United. God!!! What is th matter with these people la? How long do they intend to keep on standing? As long as United are piling on the prizes, you guys are going to hate them, and as long as you hate them, you are going to continue standing. So how long do you intend to stand? I mean it is entirely up to you to stand for as long as you want, but if I ever catch you sitting, can I assume that you do not hate Manchester United any longer?

Now whether you want to stand or sit is entirely your prerogative. But why stand or sit based on how you feel for a club other than the one you support? That is one of my questions. Can't you just choose one club to support and support it with all your time, money, energy and creative resources instead of utilising precious creative resources setting up websites to deride ANOTHER club?

And what's up with propagating hate here la? Why can't you just extend love? If it is not in your genetic make up to extend love to Manchester United, then don't. Extend love to the ckub of your choice. Don't extend hate.

Come on guys, get with it la. Oh and by the way, congratulations to Manchester United for winning the English Premier League and The European Champions League. And shabas to Chelsea for making it an entertaining end of season fight.

Mahathir Quits - Thank God

I'm sitting here on this lazy Monday afternoon on what is supposed to be a Public Holiday and all of a sudden all my Mozilla Firefox tabs are buzzing with news of Mahathir quitting UMNO. What gives la? Who gives two fucks whether Mahathir quits UMNO or Mahathir starts another UMNO or even NO-UM for all I care. No seriously, who gives a flying fuck?

Throughout the weekend we've already been flooded with news about the Lingam video report. About how scumbags have turned our courtrooms into lower than low cesspools of filth and self gratifying scum. Then we have Mr Vision 2020 himself suddenly forgetting all the Bangsa Malaysia crap he spewed for so many years and suddenly championing bangsa melayu rights.

And he's got the gall to actually insult our intelligence by saying his quitting has nothing to do with the result of the RCI on the Lingam video. Hey Mr ex PM, go fuck spiders la. You think everybody's gonna play into your drama and kick Badawi out just so you can put your man in there to save your wrinkled ass by squashing the whole Lingam thingy? You've underestimated the brain of the man on the street brother.

You made your bed, you lie in it. You planted the crops, you eat the fruits now brother. If the fruit is poisonous, then too bad, cos that's the environment you gave for it to grow. You may be the grand old man of Malaysian politics, but let me let me say this in way of sticking something up your ass - your grand old ways of politicking is just about over. You wanna leave UMNO, thank you. You wanna leave this country, thank you. You wanna leave this world, even God can't help you there....

Final Day

So it has come down to this now, hasn't it? After months and months of endless duels and brawls and yeah, some fancy footwork thrown in for good measure, we are nowhere near finding out anything yet, are we? Well at least it'll all become clearer in the next two days. Unlike the Altantuya murder trial, the English Premier League is definitely heading to a finale this Sunday. Whether you like it or not, there will be a result and there will be a winner, or champion, decided this Sunday. Wish I could say the same for the trial.

However, this Sunday promises to be an exciting one for footie fans or more precisely, EPL fans the world-over. Chelsea have heroically dragged themselves from the gutter where Encik Mourinho left them, into a position where they could snatch the league title from Manchester United. Manchester United, on their part, have only themselves to blame for allowing healthy leads to dissipate and allow Chelsea a glimpse or scent of glory. United can't even afford to sneeze now or close their eyes for more than a nano-second when they sneeze. Chelsea await.

As usual all the 10 matches on this last day of league action are being played simultaneously to avoid any one team having any unfair advantage over others by knowing results elsewhere. Great for sportsmanship, but a killer for football fans who want to savor one last weekend of football action before going into the 3-month kering period. Unless you're an United or Chelsea fan, of course. Yes, but this is Euro year, so the kering period will have at least one stretch of wetness in between, but come on, really? There's no England playing, so most of our Malaysian "England" fans aren't really salivating with excitement about Euro 2008.

Anyway, back to the last day of the Premier League. You see, I'm a Manchester United supporter and I support the Red Devils with all I have except the contents of my wallet. Now that's a separate issue between me, Manchester United Football Club and Manchester United Inc. The real issue is I've been trying to get my friends together for one last EPL hurrah with loads of beer this Sunday, and the response is lukewarm to say the least. I think it would be more accurate to describe the response as the taste of stale beer. No one's responding! Reason? Because most of them are Liverpool supporters.

Well anyway, I'm still trying and there's still time left. Hope it works out. Even if it doesn't, the results of the day are what really matter. And at least there will be a definite result, unlike the Altantuya murder trial. And whatever the result on Sunday turns out to be, it'll be because the team that wins it deserved it. Similarly, let those who deserve to be punished take the heat an not somebody else....

Toll Reduction Dream

No one could have missed the screaming headlines from all the MSM newspapers today. Toll rates nationwide could go down. Am I dreaming? Are you dreaming? Maybe we should all have a giant gathering and pinch each other to see if this is true or merely a dream.

Dream or reality is beside the point. The point is that finally, somebody has seen fit to realise and come to their senses regarding this heavy burden that road users have been complaining about for years. If it is true that the government is finally going to reassess or review toll agreements, it is indeed a godsend for the regular joe who dreads having to drive through these blood-suckers daily.
However, it was interesting to read the report in the paper where the minister is quoted as saying that some toll operators are not making profits due to low volume of traffic. Therefore the government needs to continuously subsidise them (as per the concession agreement) and the public have to continue paying high rates.

Now, if you were to tell me that this minister is referring to a highway such as the Seremban - PD highway, i might buy it. Reason being the last time used it, almost a year and a half ago, it was practically empty. But unfortunately the highways the minister refers to in his quote are among others, the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and the Shah Alam Expressway, which I believe most of us know as KESAS.

Saying that these two tolled highways yield less than enough profits due to lack of traffic volume is downright unbelievable. Just ask anyone who uses these roads on daily basis. Traffic on the KESAS highway is so heavy that in the mornings there are stretches that require the opening up of an additional lane on the opposing direction to allow for the smooth flow of traffic. Something not dissimilar to a heart bypass happens daily because the highway is choking to death and yet we have a minister who says there's not enough traffic flow. Don't really know the situation about the NPE though because I hardly ever use it. But I did have an opportunity to use it this morning, AFTER reading the newspaper report and the word that came to mind as I was crawling through the traffic was HOGWASH. Either the honorable minister was spewing hogwash or the respected newspaper was reporting hogwash.

Anyway, like I questioned at the beginning of this rant, am I dreaming? IS it too good to be true? Is the BN government suddenly developing a sense of responsibility towards the people? Can it be possible? I don't know. Only time will tell. Until then, a little hope never killed anyone...

RPK in Jail. Yeah, well deserved, i agree, if indeed he incited anybody to do anything. In that case, they should lock him up and throw away the key. Yeah, try that on for size, inciter, incite as many people as you can in jail. See how you like that!!

Unfortunately, it is not as simple as that. All this man asked for was for the people of the country, from the Agong (Malaysia's equvialent to a King), to the Prime Minister, to the leaders, to the authorities, both religious and secular, down to the man on the street, to work together to ensure that cold-blooded killers be sent to hell.

Of course, as you and I know, neither the Agong nor the Prime Minister nor leaders nor authorities (especially religious) nor any man on the street can decide whether anyone deserves to go to heaven or hell. That job or honour is still very much the sole reserve of God. Therefore, anyone with even the slightest iota of brains should be able to adduce that the word hell here is used as a literary tool to emphasise the sternest possible punishment for the afore-mentioned cold-blooded killer(s).

How asking for cold-blooded killers to be put away can be construed as sedition is beyond the ability of the ordinary folk to grasp.

Gasp! Unless some in the government felt that the article was asking the Agong, the Prime Minister, the Leaders, the Authorities and the Man-On-The -Street to send the government to hell. But that's only possible if the government IS INDEED the afore-mentioned cold-blooded killer, isn't it?

I mean, shouldn't the government also want the perpetrators of this heinous crime to be brought to justice and have the book thrown at them? Then why arrest a guy who shares the same ends? The means may not be the same, but the ends of both the government and the blogger are the same, right? Catch the killer and punish him to the full extent of the law.

Well, I'll give it a rest for now. Well those were not his or her exact words, but to use the exact words would be worse than what I have written here.

Apparently the sight of a few hundred foreigners from a particular country squatted at the prestigious International Airport is something unsightly for this concerned countryman of mine. So much for treating others as you would have them treat you. Beneath the tired, exhausted and sometimes scared faces of those foreigners lies the never-say-die spirit that has motivated and led them to leave behind their families, friends and even their entire existence to create a new and better future for themselves and their children.

The decision to leave your entire life behind and forge into the unknown can only be described as brave. Granted, there have been cases of foolhardy folks abandoning everything in search of the greener grass. However, the folks I am referring to here have come to this stage out of desperation. For them leaving everything behind is the only way forward. They come into a strange land, meet strange people, learn a strange language and even in some instances put up with strange behaviour just to earn a small pittance that can then be sent back to buy their families a bowl of rice.

Tell me, is there anything unsightly about this if you care to look beneath the grubby exterior and see the motives, hopes, aspirations and dreams these folk harbour in taking that flight out of the country of their birth? Well if you think there is, then i would strongly urge you to check your sight.

**This article was previously posted by me in blogster.com on 10th July 2007
